About
Hsin-Hua Lee (b. 1996, Taichung, Taiwan) is an artist and psychologist whose dual paths are in constant conversation. Based in Paris, her work bridges cultures and disciplines, blending her deep interest in the human psyche and her passion for creative expression.
For over ten years, she explored photography as a self-taught artist, capturing fleeting moments in fashion and portraiture. Over time, her focus shifted to creating images that reflect the subconscious, inspired by her clinical work. Photography became a way to give form to the unseen, a mirror to the myths and emotions that shape our inner worlds.
In 2020, Hsin-Hua founded Mono no aware, a ceramic project where her artistic vision found a new medium in clay. Here, her psychological insights and creative practice meet, nourishing and inspiring one another. Ceramics became a way to translate existential questions into tangible forms—each piece a vessel of human emotion, a reflection of the shared experiences she encounters in her clinical work.
This mutual dialogue between her art and her psychological practice lies at the heart of her creative journey. Whether working with clay, the camera, or the human mind, Hsin-Hua seeks to explore the connections between people, the stories they carry, and the beauty of impermanence. Her work invites a pause—a moment to reflect, connect, and embrace the profound complexity of being human.
